The Rescue Skills Day is for Venturers, Rovers and Leaders who hold Canoe Qualifications. The day will be about learning new skills and refreshing old skills. This is a compuslory part of keeping up your Canoe Qualifications.

The Canoe Workshop is for gaining your qualifications. You will need to work on your workbooks and elearning prior to attending the event. By attending the workshop does not mean that you will gain your qualifications. You must prove your ability and once the Workshop Leader see you are compentant you will recieve your qualifications, this may take more tuime than just this day.

All participants both Rescue Skills and Workshop MUST complete the Canoe Elearning prior to attending.

Please bring with you the following for the day,

1. Suitable clothes for Canoeing.

2. Sunsafe gear - Hat, Sunscreen etc

3. Your food and water for the day. You will be taking your stuff with you in the canoe, so please make sure it is in water proof bags or drums.

4. Please print out relevant Workbooks and Worksheets and bring with you. These can be downloaded from this application.

5. All participants must bring a current log with you as well. The log needs to be both for Canoeing and Bushwalking.

6. If you have your own PFD and would like to use it please bring it with you.

7. Canoes, PFD's and paddles will be provided.
