The North Coast Region Joey Scouts will be holding a Space camp at Camp Eagle Eye, Glenreagh. Be prepared to be blasted off into space in our own homemade rocket, explore new planets, dodge aliens and go star gazing before finally coming back down to earth.
There will be games, activities, crafts, story telling, archery, a space buggy derby and the ever popular Flying Fox, as well as networking with Joey Scouts from all across our region.
What to bring:
Uniform for parade
Camp clothes including warm and wet weather gear (Collared Shirts)
Enclosed shoes MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES
Tent & Sleeping Gear
Camp chair and torch for star gazing
Mess Kit including plate, bowl, cup, cutlery and a tea towel
Toiletries including a towel (Thongs can be worn for showers only)
Day backpack including water bottle and wide brim hat
Insect repellent and sunscreen (NO aerosols)
Space Costume for Saturday night dinner (not compulsory)
Each Joey Scout must have a parent/carer (over 18 years) stay with him/her for the entire camp. Each parent/carer will need a WWCC and a completed A2 application. This is a requirement of the Office of the Children's Guardian and Scout NSW must comply. Each Joey Scout will sleep in his/her own tent (1 family per tent) with his/her parent/carer.
Cost will be $70.00 for Joeys, Parents $40 with each paying attendee receiving a badge. Catering will be from lunch Saturday till Morning tea Sunday.
