2019 North Coast Cubs Super Hero Environment Camp

Calling all super hero Cubs to help make Camp Eagle Eye Sustainable!!!!

We would like to personally invite you to be part of an exciting weekend of environmental education and activity. EarthCare Scouts aims to provide the knowledge and skills for Scout Groups to become sustainable. We would like to invite up to 3 representative from each Pack to attend the 2019 Cub Super Hero Environment Camp. Spaces are limited to a maximum 18 cubs. All cubs need a Leader to supervise.

The purpose of the camp is to train your cubs in EarthCare Scouts in order to train the rest of your pack.

The camp will start promptly 9:00 am Saturday morning. Cubs will be sleeping in dorms so need to bring personal clothing, toiletries, sleeping bag, pillow, mess kit and any medication. The fee covers all accommodation, meals and activities.

Program:

Saturday: Arrive 9am, Opening Parade,  Get changed for training activities, Session 1  - Introduction to EarthCare Scouts, Session 2 - Environmental hazards climate change, Session 3  - clean water bug survey,  Session 4  - energy challenge, Session 5  - biodiversity worm farms and sustainable gardening, Session 6  - waste recycling sculpture and fashion parade, Session 7  - environmental games, Chill time, showers, change for dinner , Dinner  - dressed as your favourite super hero - prize for best dressed, Movie Fern Gully, lights out.

Sunday: 7:30 Breakfast, Focus area: Doug Doag area - Environmental Working Party  - tree planting, Environmental working Party build raised garden beds, Develop Scout Environment Management Plan (SEMP)  for Camp Eagle Eye, Present SEMP  - 3-5 minutes per group, Clean up - pack up, Closing Parade and Depart 3pm.

 Cubs will learn the knowledge and skills about EarthCare Scouts and train the rest of your pack to help your Group become sustainable.
